BEAM ME UP SCOTTY…. ONE LAST TIME – Part 3 (the last chapter)
The Auditorium closed at 4:30pm and we decided that the day was long
enough; at least it was for me. I had gotten up at 4:45am to get myself
out of the house and up to Hollywood. Jennifer indicated that she
wanted to explore Hollywood Blvd before it got dark. : ) So we
gathered our stuff up and packed it back in the shuttlecraft(s) and
headed for the street.
We walked up and down Hollywood Blvd a couple of blocks in both
directions. Manns Chinese Theater was part of the Hotel complex as
was the Kodak Theater.
Outside, on the sidewalk, there were people dress as characters or
movie stars. Almost looked like the Promenade on DS9. Jennifer got
her picture taken with Elmo and Zimm with a bevy of beauties. : )
Jennifer tried her hand at matching hand and feet sizes of some of
the stars that were in the cement in front of the theater
We went back into the center to get something to eat and then back
out to find the Hollywood Entertainment Museum. We found it; it was
closed. But Jennifer found two Walk of Fame stars she wanted pictures
of. She laid down on the sidewalk while I took the pictures of her
lying next to Christopher Reeves and Patrick Stewarts stars.
OK, its getting late, time to go home. We hit a few stores on the
way back to the Shuttle Bay. Zimm and I escorted Jennifer to her
craft and then went back through the Space Port/Hotel/Promenade to
the lower shuttle bay lot.
Zimm and I departed and I joined a myriad of other shuttles racing
back to their domiciles in Star Base San Diego.
I reach my domicile about 10:30pm after stopping for a refreshing
beverage along the way. : )
