Who we are:

Greetings, we are a group of science fiction enthusiasts who have known each other for upwards of 15 years, getting first acquainted with each other in the era of computer BBS’s & at early Creation Conventions.

Our main focus is on Star Trek; all genres. That’s not to say we are not interested in any other SciFi or fantasy. We are fans of Harry Potter, Star Wars, Stargate (all three), Battlestar Galactica (original & remake) and Dr Who among others.
Our interest in and love of SciFi has afforded us the opportunity to volunteer at Creation Conventions for a number of years. That lead to our meeting and getting to know a number of the actors of some of our favorite shows.

We also do several charity events throughout the year. The list, with their web addresses, can be found under the ‘Charities’ button of this web site. The first two charities are William Shatner charities. One, the HCHS, it is held around the end of April at the LA Equestrian Center, Charity number two also a Shatner charity is AWH, a therapeutic program for severely disabled children, This one is held on the second Sunday in June at a ranch held in Sun Valley, CA (Just above Burbank). Charity number three is held in October at an outreach facility in South San Diego. It is called the Palavra Tree. And charity number four is Lightspeed Fine Art in Orange County. It is a two day Cancer Society fundraiser held the first weekend in Dec in Lake Forest, CA. It is our intention to find another charity or two near the middle of the year

When we are not helping with a charity, we are meeting socially on Friday evenings. Or we might be going to a movie or someone is hosting a movie night at their home or maybe a pool party. We occasionally meet with our Tijuana counterparts on both sides of the border. We’ve been down there and they have come up here.

So that’s who we are, a collection of SciFi loving fans who are trying to give back to society and trying to have fun doing it.
